On 18 August 2026, VNUHCM–University of Science (HCMUS) held a working session with a delegation from Chengdu Minto Technology Co., Ltd. (China) to discuss potential cooperation in technology, artificial intelligence (AI), education and training.
The meeting was attended by Assoc. Prof. Trần Minh Triết, Vice President of VNUHCM–University of Science; Prof. Ngô Đại Nghiệp, Head of the Office for External Relations; and Dr Quan Quốc Đăng, representing the Office for Science and Technology. The Chengdu Minto Technology delegation was led by Mr Xiao Xue Song, CEO.
During the session, representatives of VNUHCM–University of Science provided an overview of the University, including academic programmes, research activities and strengths in science and technology. The exchange offered both sides a clearer understanding of respective capabilities, development priorities and areas with potential for future collaboration.
Representatives of Chengdu Minto Technology introduced the company’s development journey, technology ecosystem and areas of operation. With more than 11 years of experience in AI research and applications, Minto Technology currently operates three R&D centres and seven branches, with more than 210 patents and intellectual property rights. The company provides products and solutions to more than 6,000 corporate and government clients.
A key part of the presentation focused on Minto Technology’s ecosystem of AI products and platforms, including WorkBrain, an AI Agent platform developed by the company; WorkHub, a tool supporting skills development and DevOps; WorkBox, AI-integrated hardware; and Wesome AI, a platform for creating and managing AI Agents. The company also develops AI-enabled devices, including display systems, industrial robots, consumer devices and integrated AI solutions.
Alongside technological development, Minto Technology shared experience in working with educational institutions across the region on AI laboratory development, talent training, and the organisation of competitions and programmes related to AI Agents. The company also expressed interest in exploring cooperation with VNUHCM–University of Science, particularly in developing a workforce with strong AI foundations, English proficiency and an entrepreneurial mindset.
Building on the discussions, both sides exchanged views on potential areas of cooperation, with a view to developing and signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) in the near future. Areas under consideration include education and training, AI talent development, research and technology applications, as well as innovation activities connecting the University with industry.
The working session provided an opportunity for VNUHCM–University of Science to strengthen connections with an international technology company, while creating further opportunities to align education and research with practical industry needs and labour-market developments. Both sides agreed to continue discussions to further develop specific areas of cooperation in the coming period.
