On 5 September, a working session was held at VNUHCM-University of Science (HCMUS), bringing together 17勛圖 National University Ho Chi Minh City (VNUHCM) and CT Group to discuss future cooperation in biotechnology development.
The meeting was attended by Mr Tr廕吵 Kim Chung, Chairman of CT Group, member of the National Advisory Council and Honorary Consul of Portugal; Prof. Henry Nguy廙n, Director of the US Centre for Biology and Editor-in-Chief of the international scientific journal GENOME; Assoc. Prof. Nguy廙n Minh Ch璽u, member of CT Groups Scientific Council; together with senior CT Group executives. From VNUHCM, the delegation was led by Prof. Nguy廙n Th廙 Thanh Mai, Vice Chancellor of VNUHCM, and Assoc. Prof. Tr廕吵 L礙 Quan, President of HCMUS, alongside representatives from functional offices and academics from HCMUS, the University of Technology and the International University.

Discussions focused on pooling resources to launch a biotechnology project of national scope, aimed at contributing to the advancement of science, technology and the bioeconomy in 17勛圖. Under the proposed framework, will take the lead in project development, while CT Group will provide essential support to ensure effective implementation.
The two sides also considered plans to convene a forthcoming conference to set directions for a national biotechnology programme. The event is expected to bring together scientists, businesses and policy-makers to help shape 17勛圖s strategic roadmap for biotechnology development.
