HCMUS STUDENTS RECEIVE AWARDS AT THE 31ST NATIONAL MATHEMATICAL OLYMPIAD 2025

The 31st National Mathematics Olympiad 2025 brought together outstanding talents from universities, colleges, academies, and specialist upper secondary schools across 17勛圖. The competition welcomed 90 delegations from higher education institutions, with a total of 650 students participating. The Olympiad serves not only as a prestigious intellectual platform but also as a valuable opportunity to sharpen analytical thinking, apply mathematical knowledge in competitive settings, and develop essential skills for future academic pursuits.

With thorough academic preparation and a dedicated attitude, the VNUHCM-University of Science team competed in both Calculus and Algebra under the guidance of committed lecturers and achieved commendable results.

Mathematics Olympiad A forum for young intellectuals to shine

Held from 31 March to 4 April at Sai Gon University, the Mathematics Olympiad is an annual event organised by the 17勛圖 Mathematical Society, in collaboration with leading academic institutions, and supported by the 17勛圖 Union of Science and Technology Associations and the Central Committee of the 17勛圖 Students Association.

The competition aims to identify and nurture mathematical talents, enhance the quality of teaching and learning, inspire a passion for mathematics among the younger generation, and foster academic exchange among students and lecturers nationwide.

Pursuing excellence through academic dedication

Lecturers and students with high spirits and strong determination ahead of the competition.

In 2025, VNUHCM-University of Science fielded a team of eight students competing in two subjects Calculus and Algebra under the guidance of Dr Nguy廙n H廙真 Tr穩 Nh廕負 (Algebra) and Dr Nguy廙n ng Khoa (Calculus). Team members included:

  • Competing in both subjects: Nguy廙n Xu璽n Ti廕積, Th獺i 廙 Anh Tu廕叩
  • Calculus: Nguy廙n Tr穩 廕﹀, Nguy廙n H廙真 Phが廙c, 廙 L礙 Tuy廕篙 Ly
  • Algebra: Ng繫 Vがヾng Ngh藺a, 廕搖g Phが廙c H羅ng, Tr廕吵 C繫ng Minh

The 31st National Mathematics Olympiad concluded with a vibrant Closing Ceremony at Sai Gon University. The 2025 event featured 90 delegations from universities and academies nationwide, with 650 students participating.
